FlightGear overview
FlightGear is an Open Source, cross-platform, flight simulator. The goal of the FlightGear project is to create a sophisticated flight-simulator framework for use in research or academic environments, for the development and pursuit of other interesting flight-simulation ideas, and as an end-user application.
The FlightGear base package includes only a few representative aircraft. Download more aircraft here.

- The in-sim airports dialog now also shows the runway length in meters (!252, @henning.stahlke)
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where the carrier deck position list was not populated in the launcher (#3444, !514, @zakalawe)
- Fixed an issue which prevented the launcher from starting when using Qt 6.11 (#3441, !519, @zakalawe)
- Fixed an issue in Nasal where selecting an empty directory could crash (#87, !277, @henning.stahlke)
- Fixed an issue where OpenGL was not detected under Wayland (#3386, !459, @zakalawe)
- Fixed an error when aircraft lack TCAS/GPWS sounds (#57, !482, @zakalawe)

Misc:
- A new ENABLE_CCACHE CMake option controls use of the ccache compiler cache; it defaults to OFF. When enabled, compilations are much, much faster after the first one. (!256, !451, @frougon)

don't bother. Tried current 2024.1.4 release on both MacMini 2018 Intel and Mac Studio 2023 Apple Silicon. On lowest video settings, horribly slow and stuttering. ☹️ Cockpit instruments do not render, simply black empty space where controls should be, so can't even see any information at all. Even on Windows with decent high end PC hardware, really not that great. If I'm Windows and serious about a flight sim, I"d spend the money and get XPlane or Microsoft Flight sim.

I've downloaded both FlightGear-2020.3.4 & 2020.3.5. When I tried to open the dmg I got this message from both versions. The following disk images couldn't be opened. Reason no mountable file systems. I tried to contact the developer thru his email address. But it came back as address unknown.
Has anyone else had this problem with these version?

Je suis incapable d'ouvrir l'application. Si je clic sur le bouton "FLY" l'application disparait de mon écran. Je vais essayer de re télécharger l'app à nouveau!
